Description

Stunning Buddhist wood stupa hand carved and carefully painted with various Buddhist symbols. This stupa, respecting Buddhist canons, is hollow so you can fill it with precious objects and have it consecrated by your Lama. This stupa is well executed in every detail possible to assert the power of its symbolism. For example, the stupa represents the three refuges of Buddhism - the bottom four steps symbolize the religious community (sangha) - the cubic base refers to the Buddha's teachings (Dharma) - spilled bulb evokes the Buddha himself. The shape of its parts has a specific symbolic meaning. - The central axis face the world axis, linking the underworld, the earth and the heavens. - The square base is related to the earth element, it represents the ethics of "Ten Virtues" upon which one should build the spiritual practice. - The rounded portion or bulb symbolizes a drop, the water element or fluidity. - Part flame-shaped, usually with his thirteen stacked disks, symbolizes the fire element, that is to say, the heat, and the thirteen supra-human states. - The half-moon or crescent on the top represents the air element, is transparency. - Finally the circular tapering to a point in space (the sun surmounted by a flame) symbolizes the ether element, that is to say the subtlety. Schematically, the Chorten corresponds to multiple aspects of progress towards enlightenment. This development involves five wisdoms, each associated with a Dhyani Buddha. From bottom to top, the elements of Chorten are the five wisdoms and the five Dhyani Buddha associated as follows: - base: the wisdom of identity: Ratnasambhava - bulb: the wisdom of the mirror: Aksobhya - the rod with the thirteen discs: the wisdom of discrimination: Amitabha - the moon: the perfection of acts: Amoghasiddhi - the sun: the wisdom of the law Vairocana. The stupa may contain various sacred relics which will give it its power, thus the Chorten can transmit the blessing of the Buddha.

Warning

All our objects are handmade. Each piece is unique and it is impossible to reproduce exactly the same. Slight differences may therefore appear in the shapes, proportions, colors and / or materials used in our descriptions and specification sheets.

The silver (metal) used in Nepal is always composed of an amalgam and is most often plated on metal parts. Most of the stores that sell 925 sterling silver products from Nepal are fraudulent!

Likewise, some stones considered semi-precious from Nepal or India are actually stones reconstituted from powder of semi-precious stones, such as turquoise or coral. Nevertheless, they seem to retain the properties of the original stones. In the case where reconstituted stones are used, we always specify it in the specifcation sheeet.
