Precautions and use of your incense

To properly light a stick, cone or string of incense, fire one end with a match or lighter. When the end ignites, let the flame consume the incense for 5 seconds, then extinguish it by shaking it. The end of the incense must now be incandescent and let escape a scented fumarole. Put it in a proper incense burner.

For your incense to burn properly, it must be well ventilated. If it goes out often, it is not dry enough or there is bad ventilation. In the latter case, leave the incense burner open if it has a lid.

Important:

  • Store your incense in a dry place to avoid burning problems.
  • Please use the different forms of incense with their proper support or incense burner.
  • Never force the insertion of an incense into an unsuitable support because the risk of scattering incandescent ashes is high.
  • Always stay in the room space where incense is burning.
  • The most effective way to put out an incense is to immerse it in the water.
  • Always use spaces large enough and airy.
  • Medical advice is needed for people with asthma, lung problems or allergies to certain fragrances.

To burn your incense ropes: burn them lying on a bed of ash or sand in a proper incense burner.

To burn your incense powder: light a charcoal made for this purpose, put it in a proper incense burner and then drop a pinch of incense powder on the top of the coal. You will then get the sweet scent of your aromatic herbs.

All our objects are handmade. Each piece is unique and it is impossible to reproduce exactly the same. Slight differences may therefore appear in the shapes, proportions, colors and / or materials used in our descriptions and specification sheets.

The silver (metal) used in Nepal is always composed of an amalgam and is most often plated on metal parts. Most of the stores that sell 925 sterling silver products from Nepal are fraudulent!

Likewise, some stones considered semi-precious from Nepal or India are actually stones reconstituted from powder of semi-precious stones, such as turquoise or coral. Nevertheless, they seem to retain the properties of the original stones. In the case where reconstituted stones are used, we always specify it in the specifcation sheeet.
