Beautiful Tibetan banner presenting the NORBU or wish-fulfilling jewel. In Buddhist and Hindu mythology, the Norbu is a precious jewel of great power that fulfils a wish. It is said to have fallen from the cosmic sky to earth. Legend has it that this magical gem manifests everything one wishes. It is often depicted with a flaming crown and is also worn on wind horses. This embroidered silk brocade hanging is an excellent piece for a temple, meditation or yoga room. It includes the colourful embroidery of the symbols on brocade and red backgrounds. A fabric loop allows for easy hanging. Multicoloured fringes hang from the bottom of the banner. Entirely handmade in Nepal.
