Beautiful Tibetan banner showing the 8 Auspicious Symbols. This banner has 3 pockets to store letters or other objects of +- 25cm high. In Buddhist symbolism, the 8 symbols represent the offerings that the gods made to the Buddha after his enlightenment. It is believed that each of these symbols has the power to bring blessings for which people include them in paintings, textiles, houses and temples. This embroidered silk brocade hanging is an excellent piece for a temple, meditation or yoga room. It includes the colourful embroidery of the symbols on brocade and red background. A fabric loop allows for easy hanging. Entirely handmade in Nepal.
